In the past few years there has been a movement toward deeper filters. Many systems have been developed with 4 inch and 5 inch filter boxes. The filters that are installed in these boxes have more surface area, lower pressure drop, high efficiencies and longer life. Unfortunately, if you did not have the right filter box, you could not obtain the advantages of the deeper filters. The new Practical Pleat is the answer. It is a 5 inch filter that fits in a standard one inch filter grille. The Practical Pleat gives you MERV 8 efficiency and has a pressure drop of just 0.12 wg. It will last 6 months or longer in most applications. Plus it is fully gasketed so there is no air bypass. This ensures a cleaner, more efficiently operating HVAC system and better indoor air quality.
